1K Primer Surfacer 825R

DuPont™ 825R is a zinc chromate-free 1K etching primer surfacer.

Available in ValueShade® 2 (off white), this etching primer surfacer can be darkened to ValueShade® 4 (medium grey) for use under darker topcoats. DuPont™ 825R complies with the environmental requirements of EU directive 2004/42/EC.

825R is perfect for spot, panel and overall repairs, with features that include:

  • Isolates bare metal on any size paint-job
  • Excellent etching properties on metals
  • Very good corrosion an blistering resistance
  • Eliminates lifting, sand scratches and swelling
  • Good filling properties on many substrates
  • Works with standard DuPont Refinish thinners
  • Can be tinted
  • VOC compliant, so it respects safety, health and environment regulations
  • High productivity, lower stock level
  • Can be coated with all DuPont Refinish 2K surfacers or topcoats
