• Happy Birthday to Spies Hecker! 27 Years in Australia!

  It was on this day, 5th May, in 1985 when Berger Paints officially launched the Spies Hecker Brand into the Australian Refinish Market. At the time Berger had no 2K business. By 1992, (seven years later) the Spies Hecker range was already in the top 3 (unofficially the second largest volume refinish brand) in the Australian market.
  Since then, the brand has been part of several companies, Berger Paints (BJN Group/Hoechst), KKR, William Holdings, ICI Dulux and Croda Herberts (Joint Venture). Of course, in 2001 it became part of the DuPont Performance Coatings business.
  Spies Hecker has seen many changes in its 27 year history in this country, but through all the challenges, has remained consistent and has become a well respected name in the market place, all due to our people, distribution network, our clients and the quality of our products.
  Some of the original crew from Berger Paints are still with us from May of 1985 and are part of DPC in Australia.
  The success of Spies Hecker over the years has been the result of the contribution of many many people. Leadership, respect, patience, passion, tenacity, comradery, committment, diligence and loyalty are some of the attributes that come to mind when I remember the people whose collective contribution positioned Spies Hecker as one of the most respected brands in the Australian Refinish Market today.

  Wishing a very happy birthday to Spies Hecker and many more years of much health, wealth and success.

  Quick and simple application, material that goes a long way and optimal results – these are the properties that enable the new Permasolid HS Clear Coat 8034 to support you effectively with all your paintwork repairs.
  
  Permasolid HS Clear Coat 8034 has been designed so that it can be used flexibly, in either 1.5 or 2 coat applications, depending on the job at hand. Your existing range of VHS hardeners are used to adapt perfectly to different temperatures.
  
  The possibility of surface defects is minimised with the use of Permasolid HS Clearcoat Additive 9034 in combination with binders in this HS Clear Coat.
  
  Favourable average job cost comparisons indicate that Permasolid HS Clearcoat 8034 will out perform typical MS & HS Clearcoat alternatives in the market, be it for partial or full respray, this new release clearcoat delivers cost-effective high quality refinish results

• Spies Hecker: Permahyd Silver Star with Special Additive

  Plus Permahyd Special Additive

  We're proud to advise you that we now offer a new special effect colour, Silver Star which has been added to the Permahyd Basecoat range.
  
  Silver Star is a bright, very fine silver shade which follows the trend towards liquid metal or chrome effect looks.  Silver Star is particularly suited for coating wheels, mirror housings & add-on parts.

  HOWEVER: Prior to application 50% Permahyd Special Additive 9016 MUST BE added to the basecoat which is then applied in two spray passes (1 normal coat, followed by 1 thin coat sprayed from a greater distance)
